Rooms & Facilities
At first floor level we have two bedrooms: one
king and one super-king (which can be
reconfigured as a twin if required). Each
bedroom has generously sized en-suite facilities
comprising a shower, wash hand basin and WC.
Those who appreciate a good soak after a hard
day's walking or cycling might like to know that
the Cream Room en-suite also incorporates a
traditional cast iron bath.
Both bedrooms are complete with flat screen
Freeview terrestrial TVs, CD/DVD players,
generous welcome trays (inc cafetières etc),
iPod/iPhone bedside docking stations
incorporating alarm clocks/FM radios, hair
dryers, a luggage rack, and more than adequate
wardrobe and drawer space. Irons/ironing boards
are available on request.
All beds have high quality mattresses and are
made up with 100% cotton sheets and duvets.
Additional bedding is provided within each room
for use as required. Down filled duvets are
provided as standard, but duvets with
non-allergenic fillings are available on
There is modern gas fired central heating
throughout. For the convenience of guests there
is a drying room and a porch where outdoor
clothing & boots may be left.
Breakfast is served in the spacious and
comfortable ground floor dining hall.
There is a first floor lounge reserved for the
use of guests. This contains comfortable
seating, a Hi-Fi unit, a coffee table and a
library of maps, walking/cycling books and
leaflets describing local attractions.
Ample off-street car parking is provided, and
secure storage is available for motorcycles,
bicycles and leisure equipment. There is also an
external water supply for hosing down mountain
bikes etc, and to the rear of the property is a
paved terrace equipped with garden furniture for
The owners live on the premises and are pleased
to provide help and advice regarding local
events, places to eat, outdoor activities,
availability of public transport etc.
Due to the age and style of the building,
wheelchair users cannot be accommodated, but we
do make every effort to meet the needs of
ambulatory disabled residents and those with
hearing/sight impairments. See our Access
