Green Room

Rooms & Facilities

At first floor level we have two bedrooms, one king size and one super-king (which can be reconfigured as a twin if required). Each bedroom has generously sized en-suite facilities comprising a shower, wash hand basin and WC. Those who appreciate a good soak after a hard day's walking or cycling might like to know that the Cream Room en-suite also incorporates a traditional cast iron bath.

Both bedrooms are complete with flat screen Freeview terrestrial TVs, CD/DVD players, generous welcome trays (inc cafetières etc), iPod/iPhone bedside docking stations incorporating alarm clocks/FM radios, hair dryers, a luggage rack, an easy chair, and more than adequate wardrobe and drawer space. Irons/ironing boards are available on request.

All beds have high quality mattresses and are made up with cotton sheets and duvets. Additional bedding is provided within each room for use as required. Down filled duvets are provided as standard, but duvets with non-allergenic fillings are available and will be provided free on request.

There is modern gas fired central heating throughout. For the convenience of guests there is a porch where outdoor clothing/boots may be left, and there is also a drying room.

Breakfast is served in the spacious and comfortable ground floor dining hall.

There is a first floor lounge reserved for the use of guests. This contains comfortable seating, a Hi-Fi unit, a coffee table and a library of maps, walking/cycling books and leaflets describing local attractions.

Ample off-street car parking is available, and secure storage is available for motorcycles, bicycles and leisure equipment. An external water supply is provided to hose down mountain bikes. To the rear of the property is a paved terrace equipped with garden furniture for guest use.

The owners live on the premises and are pleased to provide help and advice regarding local events, places to eat, outdoor activities, availability of public transport etc.

Due to the age and style of the building, wheelchair users cannot be accommodated, but we do make every effort to meet the needs of ambulatory disabled residents and those with hearing/sight impairments. See our Access Statement
